PhD students
As a PhD student of the TU Delft you can follow the less intensive courses on all levels (Elementary 1 > Advanced 2) on the expense of the Graduate School. The application for these courses is through our website (select the course you wish to follow and click the registration button). At your application you need to indicate that you are a PhD student. The intensive courses are not covered by the Graduate School, they need to be paid for by yourself.
Before being allowed to start in the Elementary 1 course PhD’s need to take part in the obligatory entrance test taking place in the week before the start of the course. After registration for the course you will receive more information about this.
Apart from our regular group courses, you can also follow a short online self-study Dutch Course for beginners. After following this course you will have a very basic knowledge of Dutch. You will not receive ECTS or course credits for following this course.
If you already have some knowledge of the Dutch language you can make an appointment for a placement test.
After passing a course you can receive course credits. On the website dma.tudelft.nl you can download a Course Attendance Form. If you fill out that form as much as possible and send it to us, we will return the signed form to you, after which you can upload the form in DMA in order to get the Graduate School credits.
