Modules from new MSc programmes as free electives
From the academic year 2022-2023 students of the old Master's programmes Civil Engineering (CE) and Applied Earth Sciences (AES) may also select in-depth modules from the new Master's programmes as free electives. All modules from the 1st year of the new programmes may be chosen if all of the following conditions are met.
- Only entire modules may be selected
- The new modules can only be used to fill students' free elective space and not to replace compulsory components of the old programme.
- Course-specific content and learning objectives from the student's examination program may not overlap with the content and learning objectives of the desired modules of the new programme that the student want's to chooses as a free elective. Partial overlap is also not allowed.
- The check for overlap is done by the track coordinators of the old programme and they have the right of approval.
- You must submit your choice of module as a free elective course via MyStudyplanning to your track coordinator for approval. For students of cohort 2019/2020 and earlier , this is done via the AES-2 form.
- All programmes of other faculties may include the 1st year modules in their free elective space, provided they meet the prior knowledge requirements of the specific modules
