Facility Management & Real Estate (FMRE) information
TU Delft’s Facility Management & Real Estate (FMRE) is in charge of all aspects of accommodation and facility services within the university. These 3 services are tailored to all users, both students and employees. The Aerospace Engineering faculty’s FMRE employees are a seconded team of Services and Building Management professionals.
Locations and opening times of teaching buildings
Main building, Kluyverweg 1, 2629HS Delft
- Mondays to Fridays: 07:00 – 22:00. Notice that you need a valid campus card to access the AE main building in the evening 18:00 – 22:00; When you have problems with accessing the building report your campus card at the Service Desk in the central hall.
- Saturdays: 10:00 – 16:00; only for staff and final year students in possession of a valid campus card
- Sundays closed
- Public holidays closed
High Speed Laboratory (HSL), Kluyverweg 2, 2629HT Delft
- Mondays to Fridays: 07:00 – 22:00. Notice that you need a valid campus card to access the HSL building;
- Saturdays and Sundays: 10:00 – 16:00; only for staff and final year students in possession of a valid campus card
- Public holidays closed
The Fellowship, Kluyverweg 5, 2629HS Delft
- Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 – 20:00
- Saturdays and Sundays closed
- Extended opening hours during examination period: Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 – 22:00; Saturdays and Sundays: 10:00 – 22:00
- Holidays closed: Christmas 23 December – 3 January; Spring break 3 – 7 February; Summer holiday 7 July – 29 August (during resists 11 – 15 August open)
- Public holidays closed
Service Desk
- The Service Desk is located in the main building’s central hall
- Mondays to Fridays: 08:00 – 17:30
Central Facilities
Lecture theatre house rules
- The theatres must be left clean and tidy after use
Bike sheds
- Next to the main building: 900 spaces
- The Fellowship: 450 spaces
Restaurant
- The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the main building
- Mondays to Fridays: coffee corner 08:15 – 15:45; lunch 11:45 – 13:45
Chip charger
- In the central hall next to the Service Desk, towards the restaurant
Lockers
- Both the main building and The Fellowship have lockers which can be used to stow valuable items
- A campus card is required for this
Self-study areas
- Self-study areas are located in the main building’s central hall and in The Fellowship
Safety
Emergencies and the in-house emergency response team
- TU Delft has an in-house emergency response team (BHV). The First Aid post is located at the Service Desk in the AE main building’s central hall. The staff knows who the BHV members are. They perform First Aid and act in the event of emergencies.
- Always have injuries treated. Report any accidents or near-accidents to the BHV team/Service Desk.
- Any questions for the BHV team or reports of hazardous situations can be made by phone to the Service Desk, tel.: +31 (0)15 – 27 89804 of by E-mail: servicepunt-lr@tudelft.nl. Instructions on how to act in the event of an accident or fire can be found in all general faculty areas and near the elevators. In the event of an emergency, phone 112 from a fixed line or +31 (0)15 27 81226 from your mobile. This will connect you to the TU Delft emergency number. This is manned 24 hours a day. The BHV team provides First Aid in the event of accidents, tackles fires when they first break out and organizes the evacuation of the building in case of an emergency.
- During an emergency, the members of the BHV team can be identified by their orange BHV vests.
