Expertise
Vaibhav's research expertise lies within Power System studies, research and development, and Power Electronics applications to Power Systems. He has worked on the control, operation, and protection of low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV), and high voltage (HV) direct current (DC) systems. He has worked extensively toward designing fault identification and location algorithms for the protection of DC systems. He has worked on real-time simulators like RTDS and OPAL-RT, and software like MATLAB and PSCAD/EMTDC for the integration of Distributed Energy Sources in Microgrids.
Biography
Vaibhav Nougain received B.Tech degree in electrical engineering in 2017 from Delhi Technological University (Formerly Delhi College of Engineering), New Delhi, India. He was a Visiting Student with The Center for Electric Power and Energy (CEE), Technical University of Denmark in 2019. He received his Ph.D. degree at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India in 2022. Since January 2023, he has been working as a Postdoc Researcher at TU Delft, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science.
