About
Ton van den Bremer is an Associate Professor in Environmental Fluid Mechanics and Head of the Section of Environmental Fluid Mechanics within the Department of Hydraulic Engineering at TU Delft.He is also an Associate Professor in Environmental Economics at the University of Amsterdam (part time), a Visiting Professor at the University of Edinburgh, a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, and a Research Fellow at the Tinbergen Institute.
Previously, he was an Associate Professor in Fluid Mechanics at the University of Oxford (part time 2021-2023, full time 2018-2020) and a Tutor and Fellow at Worcester College, Oxford (2018-2020). Before, he was a Chancellor’s Fellow (Assistant Professor equivalent) in Geophysical Fluid Mechanics at the University of Edinburgh (2015-2017). He holds an MEng in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London (2009), an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford (2011), a DPhil (PhD equivalent) in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford (2015) and a PhD in Environmental Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2018, Cum Laude).
