T.J.T. (Ties) van der Heijden
Profile
Ties van der Heijden is a PostDoc at Intelligent Electrical Power Grids (IEPG) at the department of Electrical Sustainable Energy (ESE). His research interest lays in
- Probabilistic forecasting (e.g. irradiance, electricity prices, load)
- Scenario generation and subset selection
- Risk-aware control (e.g. battery trading)
In his PhD research, he worked on a stochastic control framework (forecasting and control) to enable pumping stations in the Netherlands to participate in Demand Response services.
