Dr.sc.nat S. (Shima) Rajabali

Profile

Shima is an assistant professor at Delft University of Technology. She studied carbon nanotubes and graphene-based electromechanical and optoelectronic devices during her undergraduate study at the University of Tehran. During her doctoral study at ETH Zurich (2016-2021), she worked on several projects in quantum optics such as polaritonic nonlocal effect and single subwavelength resonator spectroscopy to explore the ultrastrong interaction between light and matter at the nanoscale at terahertz frequencies. After Graduation, Shima was a postdoctoral researcher and fellow at EPF Lausanne and Harvard University (2022-2024), and worked on integrated terahertz sources on thin film lithium niobate.

Her current research interest is integrated microwave/terahertz photonics for classical and quantum applications.
