Biography
Rioshar Yarveisy is a postdoctoral researcher in the Safety and Security Science section of the Faculty of Technology, Policy, and Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Oil and Gas Engineering from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, where he focused on the data-driven predictive modeling of corrosion-induced pipeline failures. He received his M.Sc. from the Chalmers University of Technology in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering and his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
Research Interests
His interests concern improving the moral and ethical aspects of risk-based decisions in the context of the safety of industrial environments and transitioning from static risk assessment to dynamic approaches.
