Profile

Ömer Faruk Ağırsoy is a PhD Researcher within the Complex Projects Group at the TU Delft Department of Architecture. His projects and research focus on the intricate relationship between infrastructure, and architectural design, exploring the interdisciplinary domains of human-building interaction, representation, and digitalization of building services and information technologies.

He obtained his B.Arch. (2018) and M.Arch. degrees (2022) from METU Department of Architecture. Before coming to TU Delft, he worked as a teaching assistant at METU from 2019 to 2023, contributed to design studios, juries, workshops, and exhibitions. He is also co-founder and one of the coordinators of the voluntary organization METU Urgent Design Studio.

As an architect and researcher, he has been involved in a diverse array of professional and academic projects and competitions collaborating with renowned scholars and architectural companies in Turkey and the Netherlands. He is also the recipient of significant national and international architectural awards including the first prize in Archiprix Turkey, Archi-World Academy Awards, the Faculty Chair’s Award, and Istanbul Sultanahmet Urban Design Competition. His works have been featured in Young Talent Architecture Awards, Archiprix International, different exhibitions, and digital platforms.
