Biography
Dr. Laura Ramírez Elizondo is an Associate Professor at the DC Systems, Energy Conversion & Storage research group. In 2003, she received her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and her bachelor’s degree in Music with a major in Piano at the Universidad de Costa Rica. She graduated with honors from her M.Sc. studies in Electrical Power Engineering at Delft University of Technology in 2007.
Laura worked on her PhD project “Optimal Usage of Multiple Energy Carriers in Residential Systems” from September 2007 to December 2011. In 2013, she was awarded with the Erasmus Energy Science Award. Her research interests include dc and ac microgrids, multi-carrier energy systems, direct current distribution networks, and integration of renewable sources.
