Jane Pauline Ramirez is a licensed engineer with multidisciplinary expertise in bionics engineering and mechanical engineering, and international research experiences in the Philippines, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Her goal in research is to design and develop inclusive and socially accessible systems, synergized excellently with nature, that positively impact communities.
Currently, she is working on her PhD in Aerospace Engineering at the Biomorphic Intelligence Laboratory, a TU Delft Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, with the supervision of Dr. Salua Hamaza. This is under the Control and Simulations Section of the Control and Operations Department of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering.
Jane got her Master of Science in Bionics Engineering Major in Biorobotics from two research institutions in Pisa, Italy namely University of Pisa (Department of Information Engineering) and Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Biorobotics Institute). Prior to this, she studied Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Philippines in Quezon City, Philippines. She did a couple of internships in the Philippine industry, master’s research internship in ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and an undergraduate research internship at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan.
