Biography
Hendrik Ploeger (1965) graduated in Dutch law at Leiden University and in civil and notary law at the Free University of Amsterdam. In 1997 he completed his PhD thesis on the subject of ownership of land and the horizontal division of the ownership rights. In the same year he carried out a comparative legal research at the E.M. Meijers Institute of Legal Studies at Leiden University on the subject of bored tunnels and the rights of landowners.
After an assistant-professorship in civil and notary law at Leiden University, he took up in 2001 an associate-professorship at Delft University of Technology.
From 2009-2019 he was also appointed on the the chair of land law and land administration at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam.
In the past years he published in the fields of the data-driven city, open data, land law, land administration and human rights.
He is member of the editorial advisory board of the International Journal of Law in the Built Environment (Emerald Group Publishing).Expertise
