Profile
Biography
Guanqun Xu is a first-year Ph.D. candidate in the wind energy section, faculty of aerospace engineering at TU Delft. Her research topic is “Experiments and modeling of vortex-induced vibrations of wind turbines”. She is broadly interested in wind turbine aerodynamics. Her research focuses on the vortex shedding from airfoil and blade and explores the influence of dynamic stall, turbulence, etc. Prior to arriving at Delft, she studied renewable energy and obtained her BSc in engineering at Yangzhou University, China, in 2019. Then, she continued to explore this field and obtained MSc in wind energy at the Technical University of Denmark in 2021.
