Profile

Research

Integrating insights from educational and cognitive psychology, my research focuses on supporting students in becoming effective self-regulated learners. I investigate how students can actively manage their learning by employing strategies that enhance their motivation, cognition, and behavior.

My work not only examines which strategies lead to improved learning outcomes but also delves into the underlying motivational and metacognitive factors that influence students' decisions to adopt or avoid evidence-informed strategies. I am particularly interested in designing cost-effective instructional interventions—whether technology enhanced or not—that help students develop and refine their self-regulated learning skills.

In my current position as a postdoctoral researcher, I contribute to a project centered on students taking responsibility for their learning at TU Delft. Our goal is to understand the culture of responsibility within the university, exploring how students and teachers perceive and enact responsibility in the learning process.
