Profile
Biography
David is a PhD researcher in the Wind Energy section of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at the Delft University of Technology. His focus lies on the experimental characterization of a novel offshore wind turbine concept known as the X-Rotor. The scope of his research includes developing a new turbine model to be tested in Delft’s low-speed wind tunnel, where he will employ experimental and numerical techniques to assess the aerodynamic and aeroelastic features of the X-Rotor. The XROTOR project is a Horizon 2020 funded effort and is a consortium formed by the University of Strathclyde, Delft University of Technology, CENER , NTNU - Trondheim, University College Cork, and GE-Renewables.
