Clara Bertrand Cabral is an anthropologist , master in Anthropological Sciences and completed her PhD in Social Sustainability and Development in the area of Heritage Studies. Has carried out research in the areas of ethnography, ethnotechnology, museology and cultural heritage, as well as on participatory processes in the context of the UNESCO and ICOMOS regulatory documents. Since 2005 she is Senior Officer for Culture at the Portuguese National Commission for UNESCO where, among other activities, follows the implementation in Portugal of the World Heritage Convention and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Convention. Teacher, trainer, member of several commissions and scientific councils. Expert on the World Heritage Committee during Portugal's mandate (2013-2017).
