Profile
Projects
Interesting projects at TU Delft: - Permeability of gasses through composites and its relation to the microstructure. Our goal is to understand the gas permeability and effect of microstructure of the composite laminate on gas permeation. This is particularly relevant for the hydrogen storage solutions, since leakage of hydrogen through the tank wall is one of the biggest challenge against the use of composites for hydrogen service. - Recycling of composite material waste from Aerospace industry. Research questions to answer: How can we reintroduce the thermoplastic trimmings back into the production cycle? How does the recycling process steps influence the product characteristics? Which manufacturing methodologies can be used to process (consolidated) thermoplastic trimmings?
Biography
Aerospace Engineer focusing on Materials and Manufacturing Processes. Research Associate within the Aerospace Manufacturing Technologies group, co-supervising multiple PhD and Post-Doc students and supervising master students and interns. In our research we focus on understanding the effect of process parameters on the behavior of advanced materials. Apart from my role at TU Delft, I am working as Program Manager at M2I - Materials Innovation Institute in Delft.
