Biography
Anand is a 1st year Ph.D. student in the wind energy group at TU Delft, supervised by Dr. Axelle Vire and Pierre Benard (CORIA, ROUEN, France). He holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE-ENSMA, Chasseneuil du Poitou, with majors in Energetics, propulsion, fluids and turbulence. During graduation, the primary focus of his research was on the Fluids and Turbulence. His masters thesis was on numerical analysis of effect of wall roughness inside a turbulent channel flow. He is an early-stage researcher in the TouchWind project at TU Delft and jointly at CORIA, FRANCE. He uses high fidelity LES of horizontal axis wind turbines with aero-servo—elastic coupling. He is currently interested in characterization of wakes from very large wind turbines. He loves to practice yoga and meditation and enjoys going on bike trips.
