Profile

n 2023, I completed my master's degree in Applied Physics at TU Delft, with a focus on transport phenomena. During my graduation research within the Department of Geoscience & Remote Sensing, I investigated as part of the PDPC "Climate change and vector-borne diseases" frontrunner project the influence of expected land use change due to climate change on local weather in relation to the spread of vector-borne diseases in the Netherlands. Before that, I also got my bachelor's degree in Applied Physics at TU Delft, with a minor in Econometrics at the VU.

Research

My research within the atmospheric sciences theme focuses on the atmospheric dynamics of spraying saltwater in the atmospheric boundary layer in the context of a climate engineering technique named "marine cloud brightening". For this, I use a model called Dutch Atmospheric Large Eddy Simulations, resolving the atmospheric state at small scales between tens and hundreds of meters. This research is conducted with support from the Refreeze the Arctic Foundation (RAF) and in collaboration with the Centre for Climate Repair at the University of Cambridge.
