Human-robot symbiosis improves interaction
Semi-automated vehicles on our motorways, a mobile robot arm that can effectively intervene in a disaster area, drones: these are all examples of robots that exist our unpredictable environment. These robots cannot manage without human intervention, however: behind every successful robot there’s a human being. A strong foundation for operating robot arms and robot vehicles is haptics: our innate ability to feel our body.

Region to 5G test for digital economy

On Monday, 18 March, Minister Cora van Nieuwenhuizen will open the Researchlab Autonomous Shipping (RAS) at TU Delft's The Green Village. This new research lab offers a natural outdoor space for autonomous shipping experiments and will bring together everyone involved in the development of autonomous shipping.

Although the port of Rotterdam is capable of handling the world’s largest container ships, processing the thousands of containers that they transport causes congestion on the water, roads and railways. But if ships and other transport systems exchange information with each other, the infrastructure can be used more efficiently and sustainably, argues Rudy Negenborn, Professor of Multi-Machine Operations & Logistics. VPRO Tegenlicht | Meet up Delft
Following the VPRO Tegenlicht documentary Deltaplan Hydrogen TU Delft, Lijm & Cultuur and The Green Village organised the Tegenlicht Meet-up on February 12, attended by 300+ people. There was a lively debate amongst researchers, such as Prof. Ad van Wijk, prof. Andy van den Dobbelsteen and prof. Fokko Mulder about the role of hydrogen in the entire energy transition. Stephan Brandligt, alderman of the municipality of Delft and Albert van der Molen, Stedin, also participated in the debate.

Industry collaborations with Amazon and Didi Udian Technologies
