Davide Nardi
Faculty: Aerospace Engineering
Expertise: Composite materials manufacturing – Damage detection – SHM
Bio: My academic background is Aerospace Engineering, focusing on composites structures. I did my bachelor, master degrees, and PhD at Sapienza University of Rome (Rome, Italy). I then moved to the Netherlands working as postdoc researcher at the ASM department, studying the effects of defects in Glare manufacturing, and the optimization of thermoplastic composites manufacturing. After a year in industry, I took a career break in which I provided tennis lessons to kids and adults, and I got a master in Finance at the Rome Business School (Rome, Italy) with a specialization in fintech and blockchain. I am currently focusing on research data management support, and open science programmes.
As the AE data steward ad interim, I am here to assist and support researchers of the faculty in their data/software related activities, mainly in writing data management plans (DMP) and dedicated paragraphs for funded proposals.
