I would like to be a part of the Open Publishing community and to help the researchers who are willing to follow the Open Science best practices to do it in the most efficient and friendly way. I see a role of critical friend as of someone who can offer helping hand as well as another point of view or solution when needed. I would be happy to help the program development by sharing my expertise and by participating in group brainstorming as well as in 1-to-1 discussion activities. From my perspective “critical friend” is not too much about being “critical”- it is rather about to be reasonable, rational and knowledgeable buddy who is not afraid to bring up new ideas or views which could add value to the work of individual, community or the program.

I’d love to explore ways to improve how research is shared, evaluated, consumed and discovered.

Research outputs should be accessible to all and made available in a transparent manner so that others can verify results and build upon them. As a Data Steward I’m advocating for the publication of non-traditional research outputs such as datasets and software. Researchers should get credit for making these outputs openly available, which is made possible through the enhanced publication format of the TUDOP platform. I’m a proponent of the Registered Reports publication format, which allows for more robust and transparent reporting of research. I’m looking forward to contribute to normalising these types of publications.
