ERC Grant awarded to Daniele Ragni for research on predicting aeroacoustics
The European Research Council (ERC) has announced that Daniele Ragni will receive an ERC Consolidator Grant for his research on noise caused by the interaction of rotors with airframe components. The ERC Consolidator grant is aimed at researchers with 7 to 12 years of post-PhD experience and spans a duration of five years, providing ample support for groundbreaking research endeavors.

Veni grant for ‘Unveil with Laser Diagnostics the local NOx and Flashback physics of H2 flames
Five promising researchers from TU Delft's Faculty of Aerospace Engineering have been granted Veni funding by the Dutch Research Council (NOW). This funding, totaling EUR 280,000 for each recipient, will empower the awardees to advance their individual research concepts over the course of the upcoming three years. ERC Proof of Concept grant for the Delft Laminar Hump
Marios Kotsonis, professor at the Aerospace faculty of TU Delft, and his team are awarded an ERC Proof of Concept grant for DeLaH, the Delft Laminar Hump. DeLaH aims at breakthrough passive, robust, and effective laminarisation of aircraft wings.

NWO has announced that 19 consortia will receive funding within the National Research Agenda programme: Research on Routes by Consortia (NWA-ORC). One of these is HybridLabs coordinated by Prof.Dr. Axelle Viré, Full Professor of Floating Wind Energy at TU Delft.

Flow for Future | Presentation petition
Een delegatie van het J.M. Burgerscentrum heeft de petitie “Alles stroomt in Nederland” aangeboden aan de Vaste Kamercommissie voor Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschap (VKC-OCW) in de Tweede Kamer in Den Haag. Er wordt gevraagd om erkenning van het belang voor Nederland van de ingenieurswetenschappen, in het bijzonder van de stromingsleer.

NWO Open Technology Programme funding for Andrea Sciacchitano
NWO announced today that researcher sports aerodynamics Dr Andrea Sciacchitano will receive funding from the NWO Open Technology Programme for his research project 'Flow for Gold: Quantitative flow visualisations to enhance sports performance'. In total, NWO is funding seven research projects with a total of 5.4 million euros.

Vici for Valeria Garbin, Simon Gröblacher and Atsushi Urakawa
The Dutch Research Council (NWO) has awarded Delft researchers Valeria Garbin, Simon Gröblacher and Atsushi Urakawa a Vici grant of up to 1.5 million euros. This will enable the laureates to develop an innovative line of research and further expand their own research group for a period of five years. Vici is one of the largest personal scientific grants in the Netherlands and is aimed at advanced researchers.

ERC Starting Grant for four TU Delft researchers
The European Research Council (ERC) has announced the ERC Starting Grants for young researchers. Four of them are scientists from TU Delft. This European grant of €1.5 million for a five-year programme is intended to enable individual scientists to build their own teams and conduct groundbreaking research.
