Very happy that Imphys together with groups in TUE and UT get large 4TU grant to integrate new imaging techniques and artificial intelligence for preciser diagnosis and therapy. We are looking for tenure trackers!

Former MSc-student Marijn Siemons, together with Christiaan Hulleman, Rasmus Thorsen, Imphys-alumnus Carlas Smith, and Sjoerd Stallinga published in Optics Express on aberration control for single molecule localization microscopy, reaching aberration levels below 20 mlambda.

Esmaeil Zadeh joined our group as Post-Doc. His supervisor is Silvania Pereira.

A new type of integrated microscope developed within ImPhys by Jayson Sueters under supervision of Jacob Hoogenboom, is highlighted in the latest NWO-TTW newsletter. The new system allows to add confocal fluorescence microscope to a scanning electron microscope, which can be particularly beneficial for correlative imaging of thick samples or samples in liquid.

Stefani started her MSc project on: "A consistency study of diffusion statistics at varying MRI field strength - Comparison of model parameters estimated from diffusion weighted MR images acquired with different MRI scanners and protocols".

ImPhys researchers Tom Callewaert and Jeroen Kalkman in collaboration with Joris Dik from 3mE perform OCT imaging at the world famous “Girl with the pearl earring”.

Nicolette Meerstadt is the new Deputy Head of Department for Imaging Physics. She succeeds Liesbeth Secker, who is now Deputy Head of Department at RST.
