Material synthesis and characterization
Schlenk-lines, sputter-coaters, glove boxes etc. are available for synthesis of nanomaterials. The crystallinity and nanostructure are determined by X-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM) facilities at the Kavli Institute at TU Delft. The chemical composition is analyzed with Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectroscopy, elemental analysis, NMR and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy facilities in the Chemical Engineering Department.
