Nat Phongprueksathat
Nat Phongprueksathat obtained his international MSc in Petrochemical Technology at the Petroleum and Petrochemical College (PPC), Chulalongkorn University in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, he worked as a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Mahanakorn University of Technology, and he carried out several industrial research projects with PTT Global Chemical and the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) in the group of prof. dr. ir. Vissanu Meeyoo. Since 2017, he continued pursuing his PhD study in the group of prof. dr. Atsushi Urakawa at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) in Tarragona, Spain, before relocation to the Catalysis Engineering section of the Chemical Engineering Department at the Delft University of Technology. The most important works during his PhD are related to high-pressure CO2 hydrogenation to methanol at (up to 450 bars) and isotopic transient operando spectroscopy (e.g. XAS, Raman, and DRIFTS) to elucidate the reaction mechanisms. After finishing his PhD in 2022, he continued his postdoctoral research on carbon capture and reduction (CCR) with Toyota in the Urakawa group.
