For my thesis I am working on Integrated CO2 capture and reduction (CCR) using dual-function materials (DFMs). This CCR approach eliminates the need for energy-intensive CO2 purification, transportation, and storage processes by directly converting low-concentration CO2 into high-concentration hydrocarbons. In this project, DFMs with alkaline and metal active sites are developed for CCR to hydrocarbons. The prepared DFMs are characterized and their performance is analyzed in a fixed-bed reactor.
