Members of Open Education Global since 2003, we started publishing our course materials and resources on OpenCourseWare in 2007, and in 2013 were the very first university in Europe to offer Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) on the global edX platform, where we now continue to offer hundreds of them.

We run a fully dedicated research programme into educational innovations and didactics using data gathered from our online courses. We incorporate these research findings to improve the quality of our didactics, the learners’ experience and the delivery of content. This leads to better online learning and to improvements in campus education too. Our two-fold research approach means that we can offer our students the latest knowledge in their chosen field of study as well as a great online learning experience.
