The Berlage will host its Final Presentations Week from Friday, June 21 to Friday, June 28, culminating the second term of its three-term program.

The week will kick-off on Friday, June 21 with the final presentations of the proseminars  entitled “Her Office” and “Spaces through Colonial Objects,” respectively led by Amy Thomas and Rachel Lee. Students will engage in conversation with renowned scholar Peggy Deamer and design historian Sarita Sundar.

The week continues on Monday, June 24 with the final presentations of the longstanding course Project Global, which is examining the production, distribution, and consumption landscapes of marble and olives in Greece, two  of the region’s key natural resources. Students, together with the teaching team of Juan Benavides, Sanne van den Breemer, Salomon Frausto, and Benjamin Groothuijse, will engage in conversation with experts Chris Romanos and Tadeáš Říha. This will be complemented by a exhibition in the Department of Architecture corridor.

The week will conclude on Friday, June 28, at KINO in Rotterdam, with a public film screening presenting works realized throughout 2023–2024 academic year, including The Medley, a film on reflecting on the hotel as a building type; Pressed & Polished, a documentary about olives being transformed into soap and marble into gravestones, and The Only Woman in the Room, a horror film about gender inequality and workplace design.
