Homes and apartments are scattered throughout Delft, from the heart of the old city, through the surrounding neighbourhoods, to nearby towns and villages, each with its own character. 

A system of modern, well-maintained roads and motorways and an efficient public transportation network connect Delft with other major cities and with Schiphol Airport. The Hague and Rotterdam are minutes away by train; it takes little more than a half hour to get to Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam is about an hour away. All these destinations are served by several trains every hour. High-speed Thalys railway service connects nearby Rotterdam to Paris in less than 3 hours, with many trains daily. Direct high-speed railway service from Rotterdam to London is only taking 3,5 hours.The sandy beaches of the North Sea coast are just 10 kilometres away.
