Clinical Technology once again a Top Programme
The bachelor’s degree programme Clinical Technology has been named a Top Programme for the third time by the 2025 Keuzegids Universities. This programme is jointly organised by TU Delft, LUMC, and Erasmus MC.
For the second consecutive year and the third time overall, Clinical Technology receives this title. Students are particularly positive about how the programme prepares them for professional practice. The Keuzegids shows that students graduate on time more often than the national average. In addition, the programme’s lecturers, career preparation, and overall atmosphere are rated above average.
“It is fantastic to see that this positive trend continues,” says John van den Dobbelsteen, Director of Studies Technical Medicine. “The programme remains extremely popular, and the visibility and demand for clinical technologists in the field are also increasing. To meet this demand, we have been admitting more students to the programme since this academic year.”
The programme
The bachelor’s programme in Clinical Technology focuses on technological innovation in medicine. Students learn to analyse the human body and diseases from an engineering perspective. They develop the knowledge and skills needed to design and apply complex technologies for diagnostics and treatment options.
Keuzegids Universities
The Keuzegids is an independent consumer guide that compares all bachelor’s degree programmes in the Netherlands. A programme is awarded the Top Programme designation if it achieves a final score of 75 points or more. The scores in the guide are partly based on student evaluations from the National Student Survey, which students complete annually.
