June edition Delft Matters published
The new Delft Matters is out and is full of all the great things that are happening in our TU Delft community. In a nutshell: sport & sustainability, critical raw materials & geopolitical independence, electronic waste separation, bacterial arsenic filtration and much more is discussed, all of course from the perspective of the people working on it. And a critical question to conclude with: should we put a stop to AI developments in order to prevent climate damage?
You can read this and more in the December edition of Delft Matters.
In this edition, among others:
Critical raw materials, can we do without?
For the energy transition from fossil to renewable energy, Europe depends on imports of dozens of so-called ‘critical materials’. How can Europe reduce or prevent new unwanted geopolitical dependencies?
Sustainable sports climate
How does climate change affect sport and can sport affect climate change? In a programme developed by TU Delft and NOC*NSF, sports administrators are looking for sustainable solutions.
Alumnus in front of the classroom
The number of science teachers in secondary schools is decreasing. TU Delft’s Teacher Training Programme is addressing this shortage with a lateral-entry programme and a Co-Teach track for alumni.
