Ben Wagner and Marie-Therese Sekwenz awarded HICSS best paper award 2023

Ben Wagner – Assistant Professor at TPM and Marie-Therese Sekwenz a PhD candidate from the same faculty together with their co-authors – have been awarded the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS) best paper award 2023 for the “Internet and the Digital Economy Track” for their article “The 2021 German Federal Election on Social Media: Analysing Electoral Risks Created by Twitter and Facebook”. The paper provides an analysis of “systemic electoral risks” in the line with the Digital Services Act (DSA) for large online platforms.
