David Bruhn elected new Coordinator of EERA JP Geothermal
David Bruhn, Professor for Geothermal Engineering at our department, was elected as the next coordinator of the EERA Joint Programme Geothermal Energy (JPGE), as of July 1, 2021. The EERA is the European Energy Research Alliance (www.eera-set.eu) and is the largest energy research community in Europe, covering the whole range of low-carbon energy technologies as well as some systemic topics. When it was inaugurated in 2010, the JPGE was one of the first 4 joint programmes of the EERA, with 10 institutional participants. Participation has now increased to more than 35 institutions from 12 European countries. TU Delft participates in several EERA joint programmes and joined the JPGE in 2016. David has been involved in the JPGE as a founding member and served as its scientific secretary. He will now succeed Inga Berre from University of Bergen as the joint programme chair. Joint programme chairs serve as direct communication partners for European institutions with the scientific research community in their respective fields.
