Teaching Assistants taking responsibility … for both their own and other students' learning journeys

How can we enhance the quality of our education while improving the workload for staff?
One promising solution is to recognize an often-overlooked group that plays a crucial role in student’s learning journeys: our Teaching Assistants (TAs). As motivators, assessors, and coaches, TAs are often the first point of contact for students. Acknowledging and supporting their contributions is essential to improving the overall learning experience.

At this Meet & Eat  event, Margreet will present her vision for a TA professionalization framework within the Faculty of Applied Sciences. This framework will  provide TAs the opportunity to enhance their pedagogical skills without adding any extra burden to the current teachers. By developing these professional skills, TAs will significantly contribute and take responsibility in their own educational journey, as well as the journeys of the students they support.
