Guatame Garcia, L.A.

Profile

Adriana Guatame-Garcia is a post-doctoral researcher in resource engineering at the Delft University of Technology. Her research interests include sensor-based characterisation of minerals, infrared spectroscopy (lab, field and remote sensing) and chemometrics. She conducted her doctoral research on the infrared determination of ore parameters for the processing of industrial minerals. Her main interest is on the development of sensor-based methods for mineral characterisation for on-site and (near) real-time applications that assist mining optimisation and resource efficiency.  She also works on the characterisation of mine wastes and the assessment of their potential for the sustainable recovery of residual and secondary ore.
