Earth, Climate and Technology: formerly Applied Earth Sciences

As from September 2025, we aim to continue the BSc and MSc programmes Applied Earth Sciences under a new name: Earth, Climate and Technology.

The curriculum of the BSc Earth, Climate and technology will also be renewed to ensure better alignment with the societal need for sustainable solutions to global challenges such as climate change, the energy transition and availability of scarce resources. The curriculum of the MSc programme will remain the same

Are you going to apply for this programme? For the BSc programme, please register in Studielink under the previous Dutch name ‘Technische Aardwetenschappen’. For the master’s you will need to register under ‘Applied Earth Sciences.’ In case of the planned name change, after the start of the new academic year in September 2025, all enrolments will be updated to the new name: Earth, Climate and Technology.
