Tri-Axial Test Equipment

General Information

Instruments:
2 Triaxial test facilities.

Description:
Triaxial test equipment for the determination of the effective shear strength parameters for specimens of saturated soil.

Location:
Laboratory of Geoscience and Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and  Geosciences, Stevinweg 1, Delft (building #23).

Key Words:
Triaxial test, effective stress.

Main Application:
Determine effective shear strength parameters according BS standard and ISO standard.

Instrument Specification:
The two compressive machines with a range of triaxial cells, both with two independent pressure controllers capable to maintain the pressures constant. The compressive frames have a maximum load capacity of 50 kN, and a maximum travel length of 80 mm.
