Description:
Highly accurate strain gauges measure the deformations. Acoustic transient and pulse-echo measurements can be performed simultaneously. The first installation was in 1995, but recently fully updated.

Location:
Laboratory of Geoscience and Engineering, Faculty of Civil Engineering and  Geosciences, Stevinweg 1, Delft (Building #23).

Key Words:
Strain gauges.

Main Application:
Cell, used for rock deformations under in-situ external loading conditions.

Instrument Specification:
Cell with axial pressures up to 260 bar; radial ones up to 700 bar.
