 The "Responsible Use of Generative AI in Government" event took place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in The Hague, South Holland. It brought together industry leaders to discuss the impact of Generative AI on governmental operations and policies. Hosted by Microsoft, Strategic Supplier Management, Google Cloud, and AWS Rijk, the event focused on exploring responsible GenAI integration in public sector processes and considering its ethical and regulatory implications.

The event included a plenary session in which government officials and external experts discussed the utilization of GenAI in the public sector. They discussion was focused on identifying appropriate services, addressing challenges, balancing responsibility and innovation, and developing a practical roadmap for implementing GenAI responsibly within government operations. The dialogue also encompassed ethical considerations, implications of the new EU AI Act, and the changing role of AI providers.
