The PhD Winterschool on Humans and Technology is coming up!
The 4TU network is planning for the 5th iteration of a PhD-Winterschool on Humans & Technology. It is of specific interest for PhD-students who would like to learn on theories, models, methods and tools on human-technology collaboration (e.g., hybrid intelligence, human-robot interaction, intelligent conversational agents, …) and connect to other researchers in the field in an informal setting.
When: November 1st - 5th 2021
You can expect 5 days of (hopefully in person):
- lectures from experts in the field
- doctoral consulting sessions
- collaborative working sessions
- social programme
With this PhD-Winterschool, we would like to connect the new generation of researchers on Humans and Technology to the already established network in the Netherlands. This school will provide an opportunity to learn from each other by sharing research questions and experiences. Attendees will also collaborate in interdisciplinary groups on a research scenario of their choice over the duration of the school.
Topics to be addressed during the week:
- DAY 1: HUMAN-AI CO-LEARNING
- DAY 2: HUMAN-AI CO-EVOLUTION
- DAY 3: HUMAN-ROBOT TEAMS: BETWEEN PERFORMANCE AND CREATIVITY; A SOCIAL-SIGNAL PROCESSING PERSPECTIVE
- DAY 4: DIVERSITY & BIAS IN AI
- DAY 5: TRUST IN HYBRID INTELLIGENCE
Costs: free (including food and accommodation), no travel funding provided
