I've spent seven months with ISE to do my M.Sc. thesis, which was about homogeneous catalysis for the hydrogenation of ketones to alcohols. In this research I got the chance to learn how reaction kinetics are determined experimentally and how to derive useful information from these reaction kinetics. Especially interesting was the research we did towards figuring out catalyst deactivation.

While the work was interesting, the best part about my master's thesis was being part of the ISE group. This group is truly a family like one you won't find anywhere else in AS. From day one, you are embraced and welcomed with open arms. Being a part of this group has easily been one of the best parts of my master so far, and I'm very happy to have done my master's thesis with this amazing group of people.

Now I'm on to do an internship and finish my master's degree in CE. And afterwards, who knows. Perhaps ISE will take me back for whatever adventures await after my master, or maybe something completely different awaits.
