Dr.ir. Sherwin Safavi Nic

Sherwin Safavi Nic's research focuses on (Food) process modelling and design. He develops models to simulate various chemical engineering problems such as process optimization, formulation design & multi-phase flows. 

Academic background

Sherwin Safavi Nic studied the Bachelor Molecular Science and Technology and the Chemical Engineering master at Delft University of Technology. After his graduation he started at Danone as R&D process modeller. From 2018-2023 he did his PhD at Eindhoven University of Technology. Today he leads the Process Modelling & Data Science team at Danone. He combines this role with his position at Delft University of Technology.
