Design, Control & Optimization of Intensified Distillation Technologies

“Achieve More with Less”
The intended research work focuses on designing intensified distillation technologies for the purpose of energy minimization while also being attractive on practical aspects of less plot space, reliability and operations & control improving the separation performance.

In the first phase of the research work, dynamic control and optimization of Dividing Wall Column (DWC) technology will be explored in terms of optimum operational performance and energy minimization. In the second phase, the DWC technology will be taken to a next level of intensification and a novel Cyclic Dividing Wall Column (CycDiW) technology will be explored in terms of design, control and optimization.
