Riccardo Dal Mas

The primary objective of this PhD project is to investigate methods for the valorisation of carbon dioxide, with the aim of addressing emissions in the process industry. The production of essential building blocks will be explored through electrochemical and/or thermochemical processes. The methodologies employed will be rooted in Process Systems Engineering, emphasizing the use of process simulation and optimization as key tools for analysis. Importantly, the project will also consider dynamic and operational aspects during the design phase, recognizing their paramount importance in the context of renewable electricity-powered processes.
