Continuing Professional Development (CPD) trainings: Life Long Learning for Lecturers

This year, over 400 individuals with teaching responsibilities participated in our CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training programs, and the number is still growing! We are committed to continuing our efforts next year, offering even more CPD opportunities. Additionally, we will collaborate with other Dutch universities to provide you with the highest quality training.

Looking back to the previous two months:

Prompt Training for Large Language Models
On October 1st a new pilot training was made available for colleagues who want to learn more about prompting techniques for generative AI. The training will be evaluated and improved accordingly as per the feedback received. Relaunch will be in January. Keep an eye on the agenda!

Board of Studies workshop
A series of 5 workshops have taken place in the last two months in which 70 new Board of Studies members were given the ins and outs on the BOS law and regulations. Specifically, in the workshops the statutory role and duties of the BOS members are discussed, and the TU Delft system of education and education quality assurance are explained. The workshops were highly rated.

Teaching Assistants
This year around 170 TAs have been trained through two of our CPD trainings: Teaching Assistant training for Campus courses and Building and Moderating Extension School Courses. We are happy this many TAs are now equipped to start their job!

Looking forward to January:

The training has an online and face to face component. The first session is on 21 January.
