Getting involved

How do you know when to reach out to our Strategic Foresight & Innovation Team?

There are multiple situations in which you can touch base with us. We provide advice based on your specific case study.

In these or similar cases, we advise you to reach out to us:

  • If you are involved in shaping the general strategic positioning for your organisational unit or policy area.
  • When the organisational unit needs to re-think its current position, for instance when developing a new faculty multi-year plan.
  • If you develop alternative policy solutions or when existing strategies or policies must be tested for future viability.
  • If your organisational unit has been undergoing significant changes, such as restructuring or renewing a significant number of staff.

Foresight allows us to develop a common basis for exploring possible futures. Therefore, foresight is relevant for policy advisors, secretaries of departments and faculties, managers, directors of professional services, department heads, deans, and board members.

How we operate

Every single request to start a foresight trajectory is critically examined by our SF&I team. An essential part of the preparation is a thorough scoping of the foresight challenge, which is crucial for the subsequent steps in a foresight trajectory. Every trajectory is custom-designed to align with real issues you might experience in the future. A transparent protocol is followed in this preparatory process. The goal is to achieve useful results with a relatively short-term investment of time.
