The Biotechnology department is the home base of this Master's Programme. The department houses state-of-the-art facilities for research in the life sciences, including genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, fermentation and separation technology, mass spectrometry, biomolecular spectroscopy, bioorganic chemistry, directed evolution:

  • Automated chemostats for synchronized cells cultivation
  • Cultivation of mixed microbial cultures and of biofilms
