It’s that time of the year again! Fermentation Festival 2024 takes place on June 14 at East Square, right in front of X! Get ready to enjoy a an expanded selection of over 40 homemade brews, accompanied by delicious food and live music to keep the atmosphere buzzing.
Organized by Study Association LIFE and X, the 7th Festival edition brings together brewing teams from students and beyond, each showcasing their creativity with unique brews. From refreshing ales to robust stouts, there's something to please every palate, including last year's winning beer, 'SAIZON', available for purchase at Cafe X!
S.A. LIFE is the study association of the study program Life Science & Technology. Within this program, fermentation is an important process to produce all kind of compounds. But fermentation is mostly known for its work in beer brewing, and with this technique the teams brewed their own beer. By adding spices, fruits, different types of malts and other unique ingredients each team created their one of a kind beer.
Joining us at the Festival are professional brewers like De Koperen Kat, bringing their expertise and delicious brews to the festival. There will also be a respected panel of judges, tasked with deciding which beer will claim the title of the next winner.
Next to the beers there are also delicious treats to indulge in, like curry, fries and a variety of snacks. Kick back and enjoy live music from the band Lifeblood or dance to the beats of the DJs.
