Workshop on Better conversations between PhD candidates and their Supervisors

Linked to the project “Towards Emphatic, Inclusive Education Quality Assurance” we want to organise a workshop focussed on PhD Candidates and their Supervisors. Not linked to the rating system but linked to their Yearly Progress Meetings and day-to-day conversations. This will be done in collaboration with the EEMCS Faculty Graduate School. Out of the different reports and other surveys it became apparent that especially PhD candidates experience difficulty with giving feedback to their supervisors, because of the power dynamics. We want to provide PhD candidates and supervisors with skills to have better conversations with each other, including giving and receiving feedback.
